Peninsula Tour Excursion!

The weekend continued with a guided tour on Sunday. Our highly recommended tour guide, David Kennedy, guided us through what he calls the “Peninsula Tour.” David Kennedy is the definition of a local hippie. He loves nature, people, and helping others experience the beauty of South Africa….and that is exactly what he did. We started the day at the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point. This is the most southern part of Africa, where the two oceans meet. It is filled with beautiful flower, crashing waves, and historical lighthouses. Featuring a 360-degree view of mountains and the oceans this is officially one of my favorite stops we made! We saw an ostrich family taking there time crossing the road. It was wonderful to be with a guide that is so passionate. David would stop the van, and tell everyone to get out of the car and take pictures and experience the moment.

Next David took us to Boulder Beach. This beach is known for being the home to many penguins roaming around the sandy beaches. We saw many penguins wobbling throughout the sand. I have never seen anything like it! They were so cute! The tour continued and David stopped the van at these amazing outlooks of just unbelievable views. At one point we stopped the van and took a 15-minute walk to see a waterfall. This waterfall was just gorgeous because you look one direction and see the water flowing from the top of the mountain and look the opposite direction and see a lookout over a beautiful fishing village and mountains! Overall an outstanding trip that left us exhausted!  Sorry the pics are a little our of order~~~~

Baboons are everywhere and apparently a little too use to people being around and feeding them!
